The Cabal focuses mainly on physical magic, which in it's glory days allowed people to throw bolts of lightning from their
fingertips and etc. These days Magic, thanks to the 5 veils ( which will be discussed in an upcoming ancient magical history
seminar, in which we discuss knowledge of magical history gained through meditation and astral travel) magic energy is not
so readily available. Many people find such magic to be nonsense or fairy stories, becasue they have no physical proff, becasue
today such practices or virtually extinct thanks to their near impossibility. Our Cabal spreads general knowledge, and hosts
ritual and more religious type seminars for your basic magical practicioner of a beginner to intermediate level. However,
our Members only workshops are meant to address our members of all levels, allowing them to learn from each other and our
master teacher, and receive items and knowledge that will help them on their own personal path. These seminars focus on preparing
one for the Lifting of the Veils, an event that is predicted by many respected adepts and gurus from various religions, it
states that in a not so large amount of years (the exact dates is argued between two and six) the 5 veils shall lift, allowing
our world to merge with the invisible world of magic, called faerie by some, the invisible world by others (this is not to
be confused with the realm of the spirits.) Our members are taught to work with energies and learn spells and abilities that
now are but ghost ripples and small flickers, but when magic again flows freely, will hold immense power. Power we encourage
to be used for the greater good.
We could write pages about common misconceptions, stereotypes, and myths about magical practice ing eneral. But instead we've
decided to host a discussion on the matter in the future. However we are going to denounce a few myths on two of our most
specialized and wrongly demonized feilds.
Necromantic Myths:
"Necromancy is evil", this is not true, no magic is evil aside from that that takes it's root in the concept
of evil, it is the ill intention of the caster that makes a magic evil. Necromancy takes it's root in the cycle of death an
rebirth, a natural cycel that is necessary for life.
"Necromancy manipulates the soul", This is an outright lie, developed by certain orders in Europe to draw people
away from the practice of Necromancy. Only gods and very powerful magicians can manipulate the soul. One school of magic
which could be considered necromancy, becasue it takes it's root in death, attmepts soul manipulation, and we DO NOT teach
it here.
Shadow Magic Myths:
"Shadow magic is a bane to all that is good" NO, shadow magic, or shadowmancy, is the manipulation of energies
of darkness, which is not bad or evil, it is just dark, the opposite of light, light is not always good, dark is not always
bad, they're stereotypes developed in the dark ages, when everyone had their heads in the sand, we've come a long way since
then as a race.
